I almost wrote
the saddest verses of my life
the butterflies dried my eyes
with broken wings
the light bulbs
all went out
there was no light left
in their wire glass souls
they heard u might not be
kissing me true for life
that u might think my arms
won’t always be for u

the dark night of the day
concealed my thoughts
the pages became wet
refused to take the words
they cried in pain
the ink was colored red
sad birds and butterflies
came to faint
they fell beside me
looking dead

until ur letter came
it gave us life again

the happiest verses of my life
but I am waiting for the pain
to go away, the new butterflies wings
are trying hard to dry the stormy rain!
